Description

This garden, with a dry landscape portion in the foreground and a pond garden beyond, is attributed to the artist Sesshu. It is at Joeiji, in Yamaguchi. Sesshu spent the later years of his life in Yamaguchi, where he maintained a studio, away from the civil turmoil and warfare of Kyoto at that time.
